Sacramento International 2013- Sacramento, California

Team Oz broke new ground in the second week of Sacramento 2013…

Samantha Ortman and Magnum Rosetta competed in their very first International Grand Prix at 1.50M. With two down, Sam and Rosie were thrilled with their International debut! They also finished 7th in the JR/AO Grand Prix this week.

Congrats to Madison Cameron and Wiberra on their World Cup debut! We look forward to watching this team compete in many more.

Jeff and London returned to the World Cup ring this week. They had a beautiful round, and with two rails down, Jeff was thrilled with their returning effort. Jeff also grabbed the Reserve Championship in the 1.30M division with Apache Joe this week.

Leslie Cox and Musketeer won the Tri-Color in the Adult Amateur Jumpers, with Leslie and Cassius and Susan Bernard on Bongo getting good ribbons as well.

Tami Majer and Cartiano Z jumped clear in every round they competed in this week! They were double clear in the Low JR/AM Classic coming in 7th. Congrats on an amazing week Tami!

Sacramento International Welcome 2013- Sacramento, California

Jeff and the jumper crew headed south for the Sacramento International Welcome Week! Team Oz had an amazing time with some awesome results.

Leslie Cox rode Musketeer to the division tri-color in the Adult Amateur Jumpers. Madison Cameron grabbed Reserve Champion Honors in the 1.30 M JR/AM Jumpers on her new horse, Vetyver du Bois. Madison also had good results in the High JR/AM aboard Wiberra.

Tami Majer and Cartiano Z went double clear in the 1.30M JR/AM Classic, finishing 4th. Madison and Vetyver du Bois also made it to the jump off, following in 5th.

David Robinson and Valdemar made their 2013 return this week in the 1.20M Modified JR/AM with good results. It was exciting to watch Magnum Rosetta and Samantha Ortman, Wiberra and Madison Cameron, and Jeff aboard Cartiano Z, London, and Apache Joe all compete in the Welcome Week Grand Prix.

Bailey Smith and Loverboy were unbeatable in the individual section of the Sacramento International Team Championship, winning round 1 and the final. Team Oregon finished fourth overall in the team standings.

Leslie Cox and Susan Bernard had an amazing finish to the season competing in the USHJA Adult Regional Championships, with their team claiming the win! We are so proud of these ladies! Leslie finished 8th in the overall individual standings, with Susan following in 9th.

Tara Niculescu finished 3rd in the Developing Professional Rider Standings, 4th in the Handy Hunter Rider Standings, and 6th in the Professional Rider Standings.

Robin Kellogg finished 5th in the Amateur Owner 3’3” Rider standings, only attending three shows.

Emily Perkins finished 5th in the Children’s Rider standings, with Ethan John following in 14th.

Alexandra Zell and Stephanie Von Gortler finished 8th and 9th in the Adult Amateur Rider standings, attending only 3 shows. Amy Berman followed in 12th, attending only 2 shows.

Katie Mack came in 7th in the Junior Rider standings, with Alexandra Ulmer following in 11th, attending only 3 shows. Bailey Smith followed in 12th showing in only 1 show this season.

NW Autumn Classic 2013- Monroe, Washington

Oz horses and riders headed north to Monroe, WA for the NW Autumn Classic this week. The show hosts the Zone 9 Hunter Finals, as well as the Maclay Regional Finals. This week is also the final WCHR show for the region. We are so thankful for an amazing end to an incredible season!

Loverboy and Bailey Smith won the Medium Junior/Amateur Jumper Finals, with Hologram and Maggie Dennis finishing second, Cartiano Z and Tami Majer in third, and David Robinson and Union following in fourth.

Cassius and Leslie Cox topped the High Adult Jumper Finals.

Shelley and Robin Kellogg’s Bertolucci took home top honors in the USHJA National Hunter Derby for the second week in a row. Shelley also came in second on Alexandra Zell’s Playlist.

Katherine Dash’s Mandela won the International Hunter Derby, with Shelley coming in second on Diane Laycoe’s Perseverance and third on Shawna Dash’s Pirouette.

Kristin Cox and Musketeer won top honors in the Adult Jumper Classic, with Tami Majer and Cartiano Z doing the same in the Amateur Owner/Junior Jumper Classic.

Shelley and Robin Kellogg’s Bertolucci finished second in the USHJA National Hunter Derby. Shelley and Robin’s Le Cavalier also grabbed second place in the $10,000 USHJA International Derby with Dustin and Ethan John’s Knightsbridge following in third.

Jeff and David Robinson’s Valdemar came out on top of the Mini Prix, with Stephanie Osmond and Je Revel following in second, and Jeff and Zaloubet finishing fourth.

Jeff and Apache Joe went double clear in the Grand Prix of Evergreen, finishing second overall. London and Jeff also made it to the jump off and finished fourth.

Oz was well recognized in the overall rider standings with Shelley being named Best Professional Hunter Rider, Jeff being named Best Professional Jumper Rider, and Katherine Dash finishing the week as Best Junior Rider.

Shelley earned top honors once again this year, being named Leading Hunter Rider.
