Desert Circuit IV- Thermal, California 2013

After a relaxing yet dutiful off week, Oz returned to the show ring for Week IV of Thermal! Even with fewer horses showing this week, the Oz Team pulled off some great results…

Pirouette and First Lady had good primary color jogs in the First Year Greens. Shelley and Pirouette grabbed the blue ribbon in a Low Hunter class, and Tara won a Schooling round out of 70 aboard Patti Mergener’s Advocaat. Ethan John’s Knightsbridge and Shelley were the winners of the Performance 3’3” with an impressive 74 entries.

Shawna Dash and Pirouette had a stellar week, claiming the Tri-Color in the Amateur Owner 3’3” and Reserve in the Adult Eq 36-45. Lauren Ransone and First Lady (of Triple Rise) are visiting Oz for the second half of Thermal and are off to a great start, winning the Adult 18-35 Eq on the flat and grabbing some good ribbons in the Amateur Owner 3’3”.

In the Jumper ring, Jeff and Stephanie Osmond’s Je Revel claimed the Reserve Championship in the Level 4 Division. Ali Majer’s Zara II and Jeff were blue ribbon winners in the Level 3, and Sam Ortman and Magnum Rosetta were second in the High Juniors. Kristin Cox and Musketeer were 4th in the Marshal & Sterling Adult Jumper Classic, and David Robinson and Union claimed 10th in the Medium Amateur Owner Jumper Classic. David checked something else off of his bucket list when he competed in his first High Amateur Class measuring in at 1.40 meters!
