Spring National Hunter- Monroe, Washington 2014

Close on the heels of a very successful Thermal Desert Circuit, our horses and riders had an excellent week in Monroe at the Spring National Hunter horse show!

To start of the extensive list of accolades, we’d like to congratulate all of our division champions:
Champion 3’3” Pre-Green Hunter: PLAYLIST, owned by ALEXANDRA ZELL and ridden by Shelley
Champion 2nd Year Green Working Hunter: PERSEVERANCE, an entry of DIANE LAYCOE and ridden by Shelley
Champion Junior Working Hunter: SORCERER, owned and ridden by KERA MCCANDLESS
Champion 14 – 15 Equitation: KATHERINE DASH on her own MANDELA
Res. Champion Small Hunter: CHANCES ARE, owned by KAYLYN MCGRADY and shown by Dustin
Res. Champion Children’s Hunters 14 & Under: CHANCES ARE, owned and ridden by KAYLYN MCGRADY
Res. Champion Adult Amateur Hunter: CONVICTION, owned and ridden by BRITNEY MERCER
Res. Champion Pre-Child/ Adult Equitaton: KARSON PERRY on STEPHANIE CLARK’s LANCET

Additional class winners were:
BRITNEY MERCER’s CONVICTION won classes over fences with Shelley in both the Large Working Hunter and 3’ Pre-Green Hunter divisions.
BRITNEY MERCER also piloted CONVICTION to a win over fences in the Adult Amateur Equitation.
LANCET, an entry of STEPHANIE CLARK and shown by KARSON PARRY won the Pre-Children’s Hunter Under Saddle.

With nearly 50 entries in the USHJA National Hunter Derby, horse and rider pairs from Oz claimed 6 of the top 12 placings:
2nd – PERSERVERANCE, owned by DIANE LAYCOE and shown by Shelley
5th – SORCERER, owned and ridden by KERA MCCANDLESS
7th – FIRST LADY, an entry of LAUREN RANSONE and shown by Shelley
8th – CONVICTION, an entry of BRITNEY MERCER, also shown by Shelley
10th – KNIGHTSBRIDGE, owned by ETHAN JOHN and shown by Dustin
11th – CHANCES ARE, owned by KAYLYN MCGRADY and shown by Dustin

At the conclusion of their respective divisions, special recognition was awarded to the following:
KERA MCCANDLESS was recognized as the Leading Junior Rider this week.
PERSEVERANCE was awarded the trophy for Leading Green Working Hunter.
And finally, SHELLEY CAMPF was acknowledged as the Leading Professional Hunter Rider of the show.
