Jeff and crew spent two weeks showing in beautiful Del Mar at the Del Mar National and the Showpark Ranch & Coast Classic. Awesome venues, gorgeous weather, and some of the toughest competition on the West Coast… what’s not to love?
Here are some highlights from the first week at the Del Mar National:
Jeff and Oz Investment’s APACHE JOE were winners in the 1.40m Jumpers on their way to the championship in the division.
Zeidler Farm’s RANVILLE jumped a solid round in the $25,000 Surfside Grand Prix with Jeff, and was one of 30 horses invited to jump in the $100,000 Grand Prix of Del Mar.
UNION was 3rd with Jeff in the $1,000 1.45m Jumper on Wednesday, and also won ribbons with owner DAVID ROBINSON in the 1.20m and 1.30m Amateur Owner Jumper classes.
SUSAN BERNARD and her own BONGO were great competitors in the Adult Amateur Jumper division, finishing 2nd in one class.
WIBERRA and owner MADISON CAMERON were 9th in the $7,500 Jr/Amateur Grand Prix, also a NAJYRC Qualifier!
Madison also finished in the ribbons in the very well-attended 1.30m Jumper division with her VETYVER DU BOIS.
KATE WILLIAM’S DISCO was 4th with Jeff in a very competitive 1.20m Training Jumper class (76 entries!).
ZALOUBET and owner SAMANTHA ORTMAN also earned ribbons in the 1.30m Junior/Amateur Jumper classes.
Great job from the jumper contingent of Team Oz yielding good results in some big and very competitive classes! Here’s to continued success at Showpark!
