Mother’s Day Classic 2012 – Eugene, Oregon

The Mother’s Day Classic in Eugene was a successful show for everyone!

Shelley rode Katherine Dash’s Puppet to the Championship in the Green Working Hunters and as a result won the prestigious Alexander Perpetual Trophy, while Katherine guided him to the Reserve Championship in the Children’s Hunters. Shawna Dash’s Pirouette won the Pre-Green 3’3” Championship, ridden by Shelley, and the Amateur Owner Hunters 3’3” Championship, ridden by Shawna. Worth the Wait, owned by Katherine Dash and ridden by Shelley, was Champion in the Training Hunter, and later won the Pre-Children’s Hunter Championship with rider Ethan John. Lexie Grant’s Rendition won the Small Working Hunter tri-colors with Shelley aboard. Jeff rode Zara II to the 1.10m Jumper Championship, and the horse later won the High Children’s Championship with owner Alexandra Majer. Rembrandt, owned and ridden by Laura Ferran, captured the Championship in the Adult Equitation and the Reserve Championship in the Amateur Owner Hunters 3’3”. Lexie Grant won the Reserve Championship in the Adult Equitation, and Blue Meadows’ Cassius won the Reserve Championship in the .95m Jumper with Leslie Cox. Padarco Dolce and owner-rider Bailey Smith took the Championship in the Large Junior Hunters, followed by the Reserve Championship in the Junior Equitation. Tara rode Alexandra Zell’s Exposure to the Performance 3’3” Reserve Championship, and Tami Majer rode her Cartiano Z to the 1.20m Jumper Reserve Championship. Matt Nilforushan’s Caviar won two of the Green Working Hunter classes, and Oz Investment’s Apache Joe and Zaloubet were first and third in the 1.30m Jumper, ridden by Jeff and Shelley respectfully. Madison Cameron qualified for the North American Young Rider’s Championships in Kentucky with Merlin and Associates’ Wiberra, and will be competing in the Championships in July. In the Team NW Welcome, Jeff guided Cartiano Z to the win, followed by David Robinson’s Valdemar to the sixth place finish, and Apache Joe to seventh place finish. Jeff and Cartiano Z kept up their winning streak in the $10,000 Team NW Jumper Classic, where Jeff and Apache Joe finished third, Maggie Dennis and Hologram finished fourth, Madison and Wiberra finished seventh, and Valdemar with David Robinson in the irons, took ninth.
