Desert Circuit I- Thermal, California 2013

We are happy to say we have escaped winter yet again! The horses arrived safe and sound, and we enjoyed a few days of settling in before we embarked on our 2013 show season.

Some serious rain didn’t get in the way of a great Week I. Our first blue ribbon of the circuit was brought by Perseverance (owned by Diane Laycoe) and set a wonderful tone for the remainder of the week. Bailey Smith captured the Championship tri-color in the 14-15 Equitation Division. Shawna Dash and Pirouette were Reserve Champion in the Adult Equitation and also claimed second prize in the Amateur Owner 3’3” Classic. Ethan John and his new mount, Knightsbridge had a great first horse show together and were awarded a Reserve Championship in the Junior Maiden Equitation Division.

In the jumper ring, Leslie Cox and Cassius won an Adult Jumper 50 & Over class and her daughter Kristin Cox and Musketeer were the winners of the Marshall & Sterling Adult Jumper Classic.

Congratulations Team Oz on a great Week I and a wonderful beginning to 2013.
