{"id":389,"date":"2011-10-15T01:02:52","date_gmt":"2011-10-15T01:02:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ozincorporated.com\/blog\/?p=389"},"modified":"2011-10-19T02:49:44","modified_gmt":"2011-10-19T02:49:44","slug":"nw-spectacular-and-zone-9-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ozincorporated.com\/blog\/nw-spectacular-and-zone-9-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"NW Spectacular, Zone 9 Championships and Team NW Grand Champions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Team NW show season went out with a bang at NW Spectacular where Oz dominated the premier classes of the horse show as well as the Circuit Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The week started out strongly with Jeff winning the 1.40m Open Welcome class on Cartiano Z and placing 3<sup>rd<\/sup> on Wiberra. In the NW Spectacular Grand Prix, Cartiano earned 4<sup>th<\/sup>, Wiberra placed 6<sup>th<\/sup> and Apache Joe finished in 7<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest win came with Legatus and Shelley in the USHJA International Hunter Derby. Although scores were close at the end of the first round, the pair secured the top spot with a 99 in the handy round. Exposure and Shelley placed 3<sup>rd<\/sup> in the class. Greyscale and Maggie Dennis were 4<sup>th<\/sup>. Tara and Pendleton finished in 5<sup>th<\/sup>. Swagger and Vivian Keller ended up 6<sup>th<\/sup>. Encore and Shelley received 10<sup>th<\/sup> and Avery Worthington and Hakuna Matata came in 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>In Mini Prix, Kantos and Jeff placed 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and Contendra and Samantha Ortman finished 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Shelley rode Black Pearl to a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place finish in the National Hunter Classic and Alexandra Ulmer and Wembley received 8<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations Jeff and Shelley for winning the Team NW Golf Cart Challenge for both the Mini Prix and the National Hunter Classic!<\/p>\n<p>Oz horses and riders were also very successful in the USHJA Zone 9 Championship Classes:<\/p>\n<p>Young Jumper Championship: Apache Joe and Jeff- 1<sup>st<\/sup>, Wiberra and Jeff- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Junior\/ Amateur Owner Championship: Musketeer and Kaylee Cox- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Pre Green Championship: Mon Avis and Shelley &#8211; 1st, Perseverance and Shelley- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, Night Song and Tara- 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Performance 3\u20196 Championship: Wembley and Shelley- 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Performance 3\u20196 Championship: Encore and Shelley- 1<sup>st<\/sup>, Legatus and Shelley- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, Hakuna Matata and Shelley- 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Green Working Hunter Championship: Greyscale and Shelley- 1<sup>st<\/sup>, Exposure and Shelley- 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Swagger and Tara- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Adult Amateur Hunter Championship: Exposure and Alexandra Zell- 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Locaro Z and Bryan Laycoe- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, Night Song and Erica Hass- 7<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Junior Working Hunter Championship: Legatus and Madison Cameron- 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, Greyscale and Maggie Dennis- 4<sup>th<\/sup>, Swagger and Vivian Keller- 5<sup>th<\/sup>, Pendleton and Paige Hamilton- 8<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Children\u2019s Hunter Championship: Wembley and Alexandra Ulmer- 1<sup>st<\/sup>, Rendition and Lexie Grant- 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Oz\u2019s consistent results throughout the summer became clear when the Team NW circuit championships were announced.<\/p>\n<p>Circuit Grand Champions:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Perseverance and Shelley- Baby Green Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Exposure and Shelley- Green Working Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Night Song and Tara- Pre Green Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Snow Patrol and Shelley- Large Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Perseverance and Diane Laycoe- Pre-Adult Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Madison Cameron- Junior Equitation<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Greyscale and Maggie Dennis- Junior Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Chanel and Alexandra Majer- Children\u2019s Jumper<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kantos and Kimberly Bruce- Low Child\/ Adult Jumper<\/p>\n<p>Reserve Circuit Champions:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Swagger and Tara- Green Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Exposure and Alexandra Zell- Adult Amateur Hunter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Korina Winkler- Short\/ Long Stirrup Equitation<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wiberra and Madison Cameron- Junior\/ Amateur Owner Jumper<\/p>\n<p>It was a successful week in the hunter ring: Perseverance was Champion with Shelley in the Baby Green Hunters and Reserve Champion with Diane in the Pre Adult Hunter. Exposure was Champion both in the Adult Hunter 50 and Over with Alexandra Zell and in the Green Hunter division with Shelley. Madison Cameron and Legatus earned the tri colors in the Junior Hunter 16-17 and Maggie Dennis and Greyscale took home Reserve. The Championship in the Equitation 16-17 went to Vivian Keller and Reserve Champion went to Madision Cameron. Wembley and Shelley were Reserve Champion in the Performance Working Hunter 3\u20193 and last but not least Lexie Grant rode Rendition to the Reserve Championship in the Children\u2019s Hunters.<\/p>\n<p>Jumpers also had a good week: Jeff and Cartiano Z were Champion in the Open Jumper division. Hologram and Maggie Dennis tied for the Championship in the Medium Junior\/AO Jumpers. Musketeer and Kaylee Cox were Reserve Champion in the Low Junior Jumpers and Leslie Cox and Lenamore Cavalier earned Reserve Champion in the Low Adult Jumper.<\/p>\n<p>Individual Class Winners Included:<\/p>\n<p>Kantos and Jeff- 1.10m jumper<\/p>\n<p>Contendra and Samantha Ortman- 1.15m Jumper<\/p>\n<p>Contendra and Jeff- 1.20m Jumper<\/p>\n<p>Wiberra and Jeff- 7&amp;8 year old Young Jumper<\/p>\n<p>Encore and Shelley- Green Hunter Undersaddle<\/p>\n<p>Korina Winkler and Black Pearl- Long Stirrup Hunter<\/p>\n<p>Diane Laycoe and Encore- Pre Adult Undersaddle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Team NW show season went out with a bang at NW Spectacular where Oz dominated the premier classes of the horse show as well as the Circuit Awards.
