All the horses arrived safely and had a few days to acclimate before the competition began.<br \/>\nJeff set the tone for the week on Tuesday by wining four out of the five sections of Level 3 jumpers aboard <strong>Magnun Rosetta<\/strong>,<strong> Cartiano Z<\/strong>, <strong>Kantos<\/strong> and <strong>Musketeer<\/strong>.  Jumpers continued to do well with Jeff and <strong>Apache Joe <\/strong>placing third in the <strong>Open Jumper Welcome Class<\/strong>, and <strong>Kantos<\/strong> and Jeff winning the first class of the 1.20m Jumper. <strong>Kimberly Bruce and Kantos <\/strong>finished 9th in the Low Child\/Adult Classic and <strong>David Robinson <\/strong>rode <strong>Valdemar<\/strong> to a 6th  place finish in the <strong>$4,000 Low Junior\/Amateur Owner Classic<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe hunters also had a good week. <strong>Argentinus<\/strong>, owned by <strong>Korina Winkler<\/strong>, was Champion in the Baby Green Hunters and Reserve Champion in the Training Hunter division with Shelley. <strong>Encore<\/strong> and Shelley were Reserve Champion in the very competitive and prestigious Second Year Green Working Hunter division. <strong>Bryan Laycoe rode Locaro Z<\/strong> to the Reserve Championship in the Adult Hunter 56 and Over division, and <strong>Shawna Dash <\/strong>rode <strong>Versilles<\/strong> to the win in the <strong>M&#038;S Adult Hunter Classic<\/strong>. Oz was very competitive in the first HITS Hunter Prix, with Bryan and Locaro Z receiving 6th, Shawna and Versailles earning 7th and <strong>Paige Hamilton <\/strong>and Coronado coming in 8th. Individual Class winners included Paige with <strong>Coronado<\/strong> in the Child Hunter 14-17 and <strong>Worth the Wait <\/strong>and Shelley Campf in the Low Hunter Under Saddle.  <strong>Shawna Dash <\/strong>was also awarded the championship in the Adult Amateur Equitation 36-45.<br \/>\nCongratulations to everyone on a great start to the circuit! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Oz team had a fantastic first week in the desert!
